Guatemala, good to the last drop
Humboldt Bay Coffee Company to feature Women-Certified co-op coffee
by Luis F. Molina
Every morning starts the same way at Humboldt Bay Coffee Company. We make a pot of coffee. Every day it is the same ritual: measure, blend, grind, properly place the filter and hit the "brew button." It can be monotonous. But once in a while there a coffee comes around that gets us all excited. The coffee that has it elated is a new batch of fair-trade organic Guatemalan coffee grown by a women-ran co-op.
This Guatemalan coffee comes from the Huehuetenango region and is grown in the mountains of Sierra de las Minas and Sierra de Chama. This coffee is the pride and joy of an all Women Cooperative known as Adisque "Sello de Mujer". Boasting rich flavors of dark chocolate and orange peel this coffee has a nice acidity and smooth body. This is a great coffee that allows you support women organic farmers!
This excellent can be found at most grocery stores in Humboldt County as well as on our website, www.humboldtbaycofee.com and at our visitor center at 526 Opera Alley, Eureka, CA or call (707) 444-3969.
